ECAS CERTIFICATE 认证

This control scheme applies to food contact materials described in the following table, including packaging made of metal, glass, plastic, paper and cardboard, multi-layered packaging, and any other materials intended to use for food packaging.

Materials in contact with food shall meet the re in UAE.S/GSO 2231 and relevant Emirates standards as listed in the above table. They shall be manufactured in factories in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), or other scheme adopted by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA).

They shall also be labeled with “للملامسة مع الغداء” (which means food contact) or the following symbol:

Importers of such products shall then register with ESMA and obtain a certificate of conformity on the basis of the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS).

Application:

Valid UAE Industry/Trade License.

Use of additives which is approved by ESMA in manufacturing the plastic objects.

Test report from an accredited laboratory for plastic objects as per the re of UAE Standard 5009/2009 click here including : • Abiotic Degradation Test reports • residual material on the non-degradable fraction • Ultimate Aerobic Biodegradability

Copy of management system according ISO 9001.

Vicinity Map of the Factory and warehouse where the product is stored.

Distributor ownership (for Traders only )

Declaration of using Plastic additive for each batch with percentage of additives

Use of the Conformity Mark of Oxo-biodegradable Plastic objects as stated in Annex 1

Electronic Declaration of Conformity.
