2021年9月17日，IEC照明电器技术委员会和小组委员会(TC/SC 34D)颁布了应急灯具安全标准IEC 60598-2-22:2021的预发布版本，它在2021年10月29日关闭评论和投票后，将进入正式版的核准流程并*终颁布。
The pre-release version of safety standard for emergency luminaire, IEC 60598-2-22:2021, goes into circulation at 17 September 2021, the votes will be closed at 29 October 2021, then its final version will be official published by technical committees and subcommittees (TC/SC 34D).

相较上一版本的技术变更包括：
