GB/T 10598的本部分规定了露天矿用牙轮钻机和旋转钻机的型式、基本参数、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。本部分适用于露天矿用牙轮钻机和旋转钻机（以下简称“钻机”），也适用于其他同类型钻机。该类钻机主要用于露天矿山钻凿炮孔，也可用于建筑、水利、公路、铁路和港口等土石方工程中的露天钻孔作业。

This part of GB/T 10598 specifies the type,basic parameters,technical requirements,test methods,inspection rules,sign,packaging,transport and storage of open-cut mine rotary blast hole drill. This part is applicable to open-cut mine rotary blast hole drill (hereinafter referred to as “drilling rig”) and other similar drilling rigs.This kind of drilling rig is mainly used for drilling blast holes of place explosives in open-pit mines, and also may be used for open-pit drilling operations in earthwork projects such as buildings, water conservancy, roads, railways and ports etc.
