This standard specifies the types,the basic parameters and dimensions of three-phase plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes. This standard applies to three-phase plugs and three-phase fixed or portable socket-outlets for a.c.50 Hz only,with a rated voltage of 440 V and a rated current not exceeding 32 A,intended for household and similar purposes. This standard does not exclude the use of three-phase plugs and socket-outlets on building sites,or for agricultural and commercial applications.
