本欧洲标准不适用于军事用途和极端气候区探险等特定用途的睡袋。 它不适用于儿童或婴儿睡袋：不存在用于根据这些人群的睡袋热阻来确定极限温度的预测模型。 此外，无法开发这样的测试模型，因为出于道德原因，不允许在气候室中对儿童或婴儿进行必要的受控睡眠试验。

本欧洲标准描述了评估睡袋稳态条件下防寒性能的方法。

Test Requirement 测试要求：

1. EN 12131 feather & down, determination of quantitative, composition of a filling article
2. EN 12935 feather & down, hygiene & cleanliness requirement, composition of a filling article
3. EN 31092 determination of physiological properties, measurement of thermal & water-vapor resistance

In thermal resistance posture 1 test, additional to thermal resistance (Rc(1)), comfort, limit & extreme temperatures of the tested sleeping bag will also be reported

测试的是最高温度
In thermal resistance posture 2 test, thermal resistance (Rc(2)) & maximum temperature of the tested sleeping bag will be reported. According to EN 13537, determination of maximum temperature is optional.
