· New warning requirement is introduced for key ways of standard sheets 9 and 10,

· Replace “heatstroke” with “skinburn or heatstroke” and added additional instructions related to risk of skin burns and heat stroke,
· Revise the operating ambient temperature for controlled blanket mattresses from the range of “0 °C to 15 °C” to “15 °C ± 5 °C”,
· If the appliance has two means of connection to the supply, rated power shall be stated on each circuit separately and power measurement shall be measured separately for each circuit. (cl 7.1 and 10.1),
· Revise the ambient temperature for testing maintained at 15C +/- 2C (was previously 0C – 15C – clause 11.101) and requirements separated into “controlled appliance” and “other”, Controlled appliance’s temperature shall not exceed 50 °C during first hour (previously 60 °C) and other appliance’s temperature rise shall not exceed 33 K during the first hour,
· During abnormal testing a failure of an electronic switch can occur provided that the appliance compliance with temperature limits. Controlled appliance’s temperature shall not exceed 60 °C (blankets and mattresses) or 85 °C (pads). Other appliance’s temperature rise shall not exceed 43 K (blankets and mattresses) or 60 K (pads). (cl 19.13 and 19.111),
· Construction requirement – text change to manually operated switch (was manual switch). Additional clarification that switches with little or no movement of the contact surface require two manual operations to switch on. (Cl 22.112).

Type 2 battery charger has output through isolating transformer only, which has output not exceeding 250 Vdc,
· Additional warning statement requirement,
· Additional requirement for type 2 battery charger (cl 8.1.4, 10.101, 22.26),
· Relevant Standard for isolating transformer IEC 61558-2-4 or tested to Annex BB if needed.

· Revised construction requirement for pressurized appliances to include an exception for steam cleaners intended exclusively for floor cleaning. For this type of appliance, the steam emission may continue after the switch is released – cl 22.102.
